Little over a year ago, a young and ambitious hard worker by the name of Jeffrey Petlele got tired of the way South African Brands were portrayed. He set himself on a mission to bring South African Brands to greatness, this really pushed him to build up a Creative Agency called Blackbox Co. Jeffrey saw how most national brands had quality services, but “LACKED” the image representing their “QUALITY”. “South African Brands have great potential but lack the right image to portray to people” said Jeffrey Petlele, a 22years old who has worked with prominent brands following the likes of Edgars Active, CAN, Guess to leak out a few. With digital media being everywhere, brands have the full and a few extra ability to get nor to can get people’s attention anywhere, “so why not give them an experience they will never forget?” Blackbox Co. aims to making South African Brands top tier by developing their brands professionally and providing images that suit the tastes of their clientele. Logos, social media posts and marketing material are all vision so why not take the time to merge everything into a recognizable format? We have to let go of the mentality that the product will speak for itself, first impression always lasts and your logo to begin with is one of the determining factors why a person would choose your company. There are many brands making aimless noise in the market with no creative strategy, worthless goals and no intention meaning no results. This is why South African Brands seem to be at the bottom of the brand list, take for example; big brands such as Nike & Apple, these brands have huge departments dedicated to creating visuals that emotionally appeal to people, that is why they are so timeless.
